Application “UHO Global – captions for deaf” is primarily designed for deaf and hard of hearing users.
Application enables real-time display of captions for multilingual speech sound that is captured.
Sound is captured from other applications, or from the device’s microphone.
Sound is captured when user initiates this action by pressing the Start button inside the Application.
Sound from other applications, such as YouTube, is captured to provide our Application users real-time display of captions for the speech.
Sound from device’s microphone is captured to show captions during a phone call.
Our Application utilizes the AccessibilityService API solely to draw screen overlays and capture device’s microphone during active phone call.
No personal or sensitive user data is stored or transmitted to any third parties through this service.
Application does NOT store any personal data.
The sound captured by the application is NOT stored.
Internet access is used only when Application users prompt the Application to download speech recognition models. These models enable Application main functionality.
All captured sound and recognized speech is processed locally, on device, using the speech recognition model.
Sound is never sent over the internet.
Recognized speech text is never sent over the internet.
